WAYS OF IMPROVING NATIONAL INTERGRATION.

National Integration is the bond and togetherness between people regardless of their caste, creed, religion or gender. It is the feeling of oneness, brotherhood and social unity under communities and society in a country.

The following are ways which can improve national integration if put into action:

1. Educating citizens on importance of national intergration.

Well, it's very important to educate people or citizens of your own country. This will create a better understanding in them about national intergration and thus will enable them continuing with the act of intergrating together and will continue valuing the importance of national intergration.

2. Insisting on the use of the national language.

First of all, the national language defines one's country or origin. That is why if someone speaks in Kiswahili for instance, automatically you will say that the person is from East Africa, probably Kenya or Tanzania. Secondly, use of your national language improves national intergration because it bring many people together and also helps them all understand each other. That is why people of the same language understand each other while it is hard for people of a different language to understand each other. Therefore insist on use of the national language is a way of improving national intergration.

3.  Holding various national events at different times of the year.

Such events bring many people together. This makes people come together, socialize , share different ideas and beliefs and hence creates a bond between the people. This improves national intergration greatly as the people of a particular relate greatly and through this, a network of friendship and opportunities are created. Such events include: 

(1).Celebrating national heroes who fought for independence.

(2).Celebrating the number of years since the country acquired independence.

4. Equality in distribution of country's resources.

 Equality in distribution of national resources include equal share of national funds allocated to different regions among others. Such resources should be utilised to the fullest and should not be embezzled. Those involved in such embezzlement of national resourses should be witheld responsibly even if it means being judged by the book and being locked behind bars.

Other ways of improving national intergration are:

5: Ensuring that leaders are good examples by being responsible and accountable.

6: Intermarriages from different regions and cultures.
